This is a good recreational and hunting opportunity in the middle of the Talladega National Forest in the Oakmulgee Ranger District.. The property has good neighbors, being bounded completely by the National Forest on the west and south sides. It touches RMS (timber company) to the north and one other large landowner on the east. The portions of the property that join the National Forest are well marked for the most part.
The timber on the property consists mostly of pine plantation that was planted around 1993 or 1994. Most of the plantation has been thinned once. There are several streamside management zones (SMZ’s) that offer nice hardwood drains for hunting. The land has a good network of internal roads and trails that lead to the 5 or 6 food plots on the property. There are 3 locked gate entrances into the property from Forest Road 743. National Forest Road 743 is an gravel/dirt road. This property is very remote, and there are no utilities close by. The property would make a good timberland investment with the pine plantation, with the upside of lots of land to hunt. There are no structural improvements on the property.
